Obituary for Daniel Repac Daniel Thomas Repac, age 86, a long-time south Billings resident, was called home to be with the Lord on June 2, 2018. He was born on Dec. 10, 1931, in Red Lodge, and was the youngest of six children born to Vujo and Anna Repac. After graduating from Carbon County High School, he joined the United States Air Force, and proudly served our country during the Korean War. Upon discharge from the military, he returned to Red Lodge for a few years before permanently settling in Billings. Daniel was very mechanically inclined and was extremely talented working with his hands. Over the course of his life, he was employed as an automotive mechanic at the Texaco station in Red Lodge, as well as an aircraft mechanic for Boeing Aircraft in Seattle and for Lynch Flying Service in Billings. He was an excellent carpenter and worked for Repac Construction with his brother, Joe, in Red Lodge, and for C & M Construction, in Billings. Daniel was a strong, talkative and very engaging man. He had a large heart, with a soft spot for anyone in need. He never shied away from hard work, was smart, exceptionally thrifty, and blessed with a good measure of common sense. Daniel was preceded in death by his parents, four brothers, and one sister. He is survived by two daughters, two nieces, three nephews, and numerous extended family members who will all miss his vibrant presence in their lives. Services will be held at Mary Queen of Peace Parish in Billings, with visitation/viewing from 10-11 a.m. Tuesday, June 12, and a funeral mass at 11 a.m. Graveside services will be held on June 12, at 3 p.m., in the Red Lodge cemetery. Memorial contributions would be gratefully accepted by the Disabled American Veterans, or by the Friendship House of Christian Services in Billings.
