Cornelia W. Wertman 78, of Lincoln Street Auburn passed away Thursday June 7, 2018 at The Matthew House in Auburn. The daughter of the late Harold and Leona Weiss, Cornelia was born October 10, 1939 in Rome, New York. She was a graduate of Auburn’s Central High School, and had worked at BoMer Manufacturing. She had a love of Crafting, and had worked previously in the Craft Department of the former Ames Store. She was known as a big fan of country singer Keith Urban. Cornelia is survived by her two daughters, Penni Goodwin and her husband Christopher, of Union Springs, and Paula Blay with John Jones of Auburn, a grandson, Eric Blay, and two greatgrandchildren, Cayleb and Bailey Blay, a step-sister, Lila (Robert) Mordhorst of Delaware, and a step- brother, Charles (Jane) Zingerline of Vestal. Funeral services will be held privately for the family. Contributions in Memory of Cornelia Wertman may be made to the Matthew House. Arrangements are with White Chapel Funeral Home, 197 South Street, Auburn.
