Clifford Franklin Hipps 86 of Morganton died Tuesday, June 5th, 2018 at Grace Hospital. Born November 28th, 1931 he was the son of the late Doctor Franklin Hipps and Mamie Taylor Hipps. He served in the US Army during the Korean War. He taught automotive mechanics for 25 years at the NC School for the Deaf. His wife, Beulah Mae Hall Hipps of the home; two sons, Bobby Gene Hipps of Morganton and Tommy Len Hipps and wife Carolyn of Morganton; a daughter, Judy Benfield and husband Kenneth of Morganton; a sister, Bonnie Hipps Williams of Morganton; a brother, Joseph Ray Hipps and wife Lola of Morganton; a grandchild, Johnny Vance and a great grandchild survive him. Brothers, Carl Hipps, Thurman Hipps, Bill Hipps, James Hipps and a sister, Della Hipps Williams, preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at Mountain View Baptist Church # 2 with Pastor Kenneth Mashburn officiating. Burial will follow at Mountain View Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Thursday, June 7th, 2018 at Mountain View Baptist Church #2. Please sign the online guestbook at www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
