Claire C. Nelson 90 of Penn died Thursday June 21, 2018 at home. He was born January 29, 1928 in Penn a son of the late Andrew John and Grace (Krause) Nelson. Prior to retirement he was employed by Gen Corp and he was a veteran of WWII serving with the US Navy. He was a member of the Penn Evangelical Lutheran Church, Penn Rod and Gun Club, American Legion Post 472 of Manor and a former member of the Penn Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Helen (Remaley) Nelson, a son Thomas Nelson, a granddaughter Sheri Liane Nelson, two sisters Ethel Light and Emma Donaldson, four brothers Paul, John and Edward Nelson and an infant. He is survived by two sons James C. Nelson and his wife Lori of Rillton and Donald C. Nelson of Penn, two beloved granddaughters Carrie Stelma and her husband Chris and Stacy Rodecki and her husband Ed, five great grandchildren Ella Rae and Ethan Stelma and August, Allison and Asher Rodecki and numerous nieces and nephews.
