Obituary for Cindy Young (Smith) MASSENA – Mrs. Cindy L. Young, 61, of 4 Erwin Ave, peacefully passed away Thursday morning, May 31, 2018 at her home with her loving family at her side. Cindy was born January 14, 1957 in Massena, the daughter of the late George and Helen (Miner) Smith and was a graduate of Massena High School. She later attended Mater Dei College. She first married Allen Rushlow and was blessed with 3 children before their divorce. On October 27, 2007, she married Delwin Young at the Massena First United Methodist Church with Rev. Jeffery Aiosa officiating. He predeceased her on April 4, 2010. Cindy worked for Massena Housing Authority for many years as their secretary. She was a member of the Marine Corps League Auxiliary and was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed reading and playing games. She cherished the time she was able to spend visiting with her family and friends. Cindy is survived by her children, Jason and Brittany Rushlow, Brandy Rushlow and Tori Mitchell, and Brittany Devlin and Nolan Monroe, all of Massena; 3 grandchildren, Aiden Devlin, Cameron and Bryce Rushlow; and many brothers, sisters, nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she was also predeceased by several brothers and sisters. Friends may call Monday 12-2:00 PM at the Donaldson Funeral Home, Massena where funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM with Rev. Michael Jablonski officiating. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery, Massena. Memorial contributions may be made in her memory to Hospice of St. Lawrence Valley or Breast Cancer Awareness.
