Christine Burchell, 90, of Princeton. Our loss is heavens gain as “Chris” went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Gibson General Hospital in Princeton. She was born June 25, 1928 in Stuart, VA to Martin and Lillian (Pack) Murphy. She attended the Princeton Holiness Tabernacle in Princeton. She was a member of the F.O.E. for many years. She loved gardening, fishing, managing her flowers and roses and NASCAR. She is survived by her 8 children, Bob L. Smith, Marie Davis (Bill), Larry Burchell (Sue), Martin Burchell (Vickie), Julia Dimmett (Rick), Arthur “Dale” Burchell, Yancey Burchell (Stacey) and Annette Morabito (Gene); grandson she raised, Rodney Burchell; 24 grandchildren; 26 great grandchildren; and her sister, Betty Peoples. She is preceded in death by her parents, loving husband, Julian Burchell; and her son, James Burchell. Funeral services will be at 10 am on Monday, July 2, 2018 at Colvin Funeral Home in Princeton, IN, officiated by Rev. Larry Meadows. Burial will follow in the Oddfellows Cemetery in Princeton. Visitation will be from 3 to 7 pm on Sunday at the Colvin Funeral Home. You may leave a message of sympathy or light a memorial candle at www.colvinfuneralhome.com.
