Obituary for Christine Marie Maseng Christine Marie Maseng, age 86, of Port St Lucie, Florida passed away suddenly on June 18, 2018. Christine was born on July 16, 1931 in Chicago, IL to Christ and Molla Nygaard. She was married Pete (Peer) Maseng for 56 years until his death in 2008. They began life together in Illinois raising their three boys and building a vacation home in Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin where many great family memories were made. Upon retirement she and Pete moved permanently to Florida and enjoyed many years boating and cruising with friends. Christine had a passion for life; always involved, always busy, always caring for others, beginning with her career as a Registered Nurse at the Norwegian American Hospital in Chicago Illinois and often volunteered her time whenever needed. Throughout her life, Christine loved and cared for so many friends and family and was always the life of the party: singing, dancing and sharing stories. She remained an active member of Saints and Sinners Yacht Club, The Sons of Norway, Hope Lutheran Church of Port St. Lucie and her bridge groups. In addition to her husband, Christine is predeceased by her sister Trudy Lilleberg. She is survived by her sons Erik Maseng and wife Beryl of Nashua, NH, John Maseng and wife Nancy of Henderson, NV and Peer Richard (Rick) Maseng of Surgeon Bay, WI: grandchildren; Marie Fidrych and husband Kevin, Karl Maseng, Sean Maseng, and Elizabeth Scheinman, and her sister in law Kari Hanson of Port Saint Lucie, FL. She will be greatly missed by all who’s lives she touched; a great companion, mother, and friend to everyone that knew her.
