Christina Scialabba, 74, of Clark Street, Westerly, passed away June 10, 2018 at the Westerly Hospital. The granddaughter of the late Santo & Christina Sposato, she is survived by her mother Felice (Sposato) Scialabba, her brother Roy Scialabba, her aunts Irene Gaccione and Susie Greene, her nephew Michael Scialabba, husband of Gina, her niece, Deanna Dillon, wife of Roger, and her grandnieces and grandnephews Rachel Dillon, Annalise, Alexander, and Domenic Scialabba. She is loved and will be sorely missed by her cousins Patricia Terranova, Joseph and Lois Parise, Nat Ballato, Vin and Jane Santaniello, Toni and Don Liberator, Laura and Joe Tremblay, Stephen and Betty Jo Greene, Sandra and Bruce Liguori, Michael Gaccione and Geoffrey Geene. Born in Westerly on April 24, 1944, Christina was a loyal and devoted friend who cared deeply about the well-being of those she loved. Her Catholicism played a fundamental role in her life, as she embraced the power of prayer. A member of Immaculate Conception Church, she attended the adoration chapel daily and was a member of the Third Order of Mary. Professionally, she was a computer programmer at General Dynamics for many years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, June 14, 2018 at 10:00 am at Immaculate Conception Church, 111 High Street, Westerly. There will be no procession from the funeral home. Burial will take place at St. Sebastian Cemetery, Westerly. A calling hour will take place for family and close friends at Rushlow-Iacoi Funeral Home & Crematory, 64 Friendship Street, Westerly from 8:30 to 9:30 am.
