Obituary for Charles Robert “Chad” Wise Charles Robert “Chad” Wise, 86, of Bloomington passed away Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at the IU Health Bloomington Hospital. Chad was born on January 4, 1932 in Anderson, Indiana, the son of Robert Levi and Blanche (Mahoney) Wise. He was a 1949 graduate of Anderson High School and received his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University in 1953. Chad married Carol Ann Keen on January 9, 1954 in Speedway, Indiana. He was a U.S. Air Force Veteran and was honorably discharged in 1956. He received his Master’s Degree in Business Administration from Ball State University in 1963. Chad worked for General Motors Corporation for many years in the Guide Division and was the Editor of the Guide Light. He later worked in the Safety and Labor Relations Departments until he retired in 1988. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a neighborhood commissioner for the Boy Scouts, and a member of the Chamber of Commerce Public Relations Committee, all in Anderson. Chad enjoyed fishing, boating, sailing, golf, bowling, traveling, playing cards and spending time with his family and friends. He will be greatly missed by all who loved and knew him. Chad is survived by his wife: Carol Ann Wise of Bloomington, his daughter; Sharon Lynn of Bloomington, two sons; John Charles (Penny) of Rochester, NY, William Robert (Bonny) of Floyd Knobs, IN, six grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Blanche Wise, and his sister Marianne Norton. A memorial service will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded.
