Obituary for Bruce Lyle Belmore Bruce Lyle Belmore, age 74, of Strum, went home to be with his beloved wife, Linda, on Wednesday, June 27, 2018. He was born on February 22, 1944 in Eau Claire to William and Ione (Belknap) Belmore. He grew up there and graduated from Memorial High School. Bruce worked at Auto Glass Specialists before starting at EC Chmel, where he was a dental technician for over 30 years. He also met the love of his life while working there. On September 16, 1967, he was united in marriage to Linda Rose Johnson in Eau Claire. The couple made their home in Strum and welcomed three children: Mike, Jeff, and Laurie. Linda passed away on December 6, 2007. Bruce was a longtime member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was formerly on the church council, and a former member of the Strum Lions Club. He also was a Little League baseball coach. Bruce was an avid hunter and fisherman and also loved to attend sporting events and visit the casino. He will be remembered as a kind and gentle man with a great sense of humor. He is survived by his three children, Mike (Melinda Howe) Belmore of Trempealeau, Jeff (Amy) Belmore of Sheboygan, and Laurie (Todd) Lasher of Strum; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Meaghan Kelly), Noelle, Joshua, Luke, Eli, and Emma Belmore and Aubrey, Cayden, and Neeley Lasher; brother, Jim (Arlene) Belmore of Eau Claire; two special cousins, Tom (Mary) Lake of Eau Claire and Tom (Carol) Belknap of Tempe, AZ; and many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Linda Belmore, and his parents. The family would like to thank the staff of Oakwood Hills and all of Bruce’s care workers. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Strum with Reverend Valerian Ahles officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery in Strum. Visitation will be held at the church from 10:00 am until the time of the service.
