Obituary for Brian G. Fay Brian G. Fay, 69, passed away Wednesday, June 20, 2018, with his loving family by his side. He was born on September 30, 1948, in Utica, the son of Joseph and Shirley (Roberts) Fay. Brian was a graduate of UFA. On September 30, 1967, he married Linda Chapple, in Utica. Brian was a Corrections Officer with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 1998. Brian was a loving husband and father whose greatest pride and joy were his grandchildren. He coached youth bowling at Pin-O-Rama and was inducted into the Utica Bowling Hall of Fame as a coach. Brian was an avid Yankees fan who also enjoyed cars, movies, music and his watch collection. A good day would include a lucky scratch off ticket and a giant ice cream cone. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; his three children, Adam (Betsy) Fay, Rochester, Brenda (Jeffrey) Maine, Ilion and Cheryl (Crystal) Fay, Syracuse; seven grandchildren, Courtney, Melina, Brian, Brittanie, Jonathan, Parker and Logan; six great grandchildren; a brother, Craig Fay, ME and a sister, Roseann Bulinski, New Hartford. Brian is also survived by many brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law along with nieces, nephews and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends, including special friends, Maria and Jim Allen. He was predeceased by his mother and father; brother, Steven Bulinski and stepfather, Adam Bulinski, who raised him as his own. Relatives and friends are invited and may call on Friday from 4-7 p.m. at Surridge & Roberts Funeral Home, 470 French Rd., Utica. Funeral services will commence at the conclusion of visitation, at 7 p.m. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, remembrances in Brian’s name may be made to the National Kidney Foundation. Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
