Edith Bonnie Rahe, 89, of Concord, passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Bonnie was born May 30, 1929 in Charleston, SC to the late Clarence Gray Keller and Hattie Bell Phillips Keller. She was also preceded in death by her daughter; Lynne Rahe Byrd (Mitchell Lyle Byrd), her brothers Wilson Kelley Haselden (Clyde) and Clarence Earl Keller. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM, Thursday, June 28, 2018 at Pitts Baptist Church-Concord. The funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM at the church, officiated by Pastor Kevin Seger. Burial will follow at the Pitts Baptist Church Cemetery. Survivors include her son, Edward Earl Surber (Ann); daughter, Stacey Rahe Clifton (Dan); stepson, Steve Rahe (Connie) of League City, TX; grandson Hugh William Blair, III (Trey) and his fiance Amanda; great grandchildren Carlee, Kelsey and Tripp. She is also survived by her sister Dolly Keller Halford and her niece Karyl Kaye Miller and her daughters Katie and Kristin. Bonnie was a devoted teacher with the three year olds at Pitts Baptist Church Child Development Center for twenty years. She was an avid reader and Atlanta Braves fan. Bonnie loved being at home and decorating her home for every holiday. Memorials may be made to Pitts Baptist Church, 140 Pitts School Road, NW, Concord, NC 28027 or Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081. Hartsell Funeral Home of Harrisburg is serving the Rahe family.
