Bernadette Marie Miller ( Bernie) Thomas Township, Michigan Passed away Sunday June 24, 2018. Age 52 years. The daughter of John and the late Muriel (McMillan) Murphy was born October 31, 1965 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was a graduate of Hemlock High School, Class of 1983, where she played in the Band. She attended Delta College. She married Bryan Miller, September 9, 1989. He survives her. Bernie was employed as an E.M.T. and then Great Beginnings Day Care. For the past 20 years she was employed by Dow Corning where she served as a Union Steward. She was a member of Holy Spirit Catholic Church. She enjoyed crafts, photography, cooking and baking. Surviving besides her husband, Bryan, and her father, John, are three children, Zachary Miller and his wife, Megan; Adaline Miller; Liam Miller; a grandson, Jameson Miller; four brothers, one sister and their spouses, John T. and Laura Murphy; Jim and Teresa Murphy; Michelle and Jerry Scott; Matt and Katie Murphy; Mike Murphy; many nieces and nephews. The funeral liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. Friday, June 29, 2018, at Holy Spirit Catholic Church. Rev. Peter J. Gaspeny will officiate. Friends may call at the W. L. Case and Co. Funeral Chapel, 201 N. Miller Rd. from 2:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday where a Vigil service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Friends may then call at the Church from 9:00 a.m. Friday until the time of the funeral liturgy.
