Belvin Lee Overman, 64, passed away Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Beacon Place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 pm, Tuesday, June 5, 2018 at George Brothers Funeral Service Chapel with Pastors Jeff Midkiff, Carl Shelton and Chad Williams officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the funeral home. Belvin was born December 29, 1953 in Guilford County to the late Garland and Sadie Simpson Overman. Before owning his own trucking business, he was owner and operator of an AAMCO service station on High Point Road in Greensboro. He loved riding motorcycles and cooking, but mostly enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play ball. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Survivors include his wife, Debbie P. Overman of the home; his daughter, Sherry Gore (Traves) of Madison; his son, Gene Overman (Melissa) of Thomasville; 5 grandchildren, Dylan, Jeremiah, Abigail, Kacey and Kaleb; a brother, Harry Overman and a sister, Teresa Curry. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Greensboro, 2500 Summit Ave., Greensboro, NC 27405.
