Barbara Jean Walker Rickard, (Barbie), age 89, Knoxville Tennessee, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, June 4, 2018. Barbara was born March 23, 1929 in Knoxville, Tennessee to Dewey Pascal Walker, Sr. and Mary Louise Ridenour Walker. Barbara graduated from Knoxville High School. She was retired from GMAC as an accounting manager. She is survived by her primary care givers; nephew, Michael D. Burnette and niece, Patricia L. Odham (Danny Odham). She is also survived by several other nieces and nephews and sister-in-law Sue Walker. Barbara was predeceased by her husband; J.W. Rickard (Buddy) of 61 years, parents; Dewey and Mary Lou Walker; brothers James Walker (Annette), Dewey P. Walker (Wanda), Joseph P. Walker and sisters: Louise Walker Noe (Harold), Marjorie Walker Wooten (Bill) and Juanita Walker Burnette (John) and nephew Gary Walker. In lieu of flowers donations in her honor can be made to Alzheimer’s Association Inc c/o Elmcroft Halls 7521 Andersonville Pike Knoxville, TN 37938. Family and friends will meet at 2:45 p. m. Wednesday June 6, 2018 at Greenwood Cemetery, 3500 Old Tazewell Pike, Knoxville TN 37918 for a 3:00 p.m. graveside service and interment. Stevens Mortuary Oglewood Avenue at N.
