Barbara L. (Roe) Morrissey, 82, formerly of Weedsport and Standard Woods, Auburn, passed away Friday, June 15, 2018 at Huntington Living Center, Waterloo. The daughter of the late John Morrissey and Marion and Robert Ashby , Barb was born September 8, 1935 in Auburn, New York. She was a graduate of Weedsport High School and attended Cayuga Community College. Previously she had been employed with General Electric of Auburn. Barb is survived by her four daughters, Deborah (George) Piascik of Weedsport, Lorian Matson of Auburn, Wendy Fragola of Syracuse, and Lisa (Scott) McDeid of Weedsport; three sons, Mitchell (Christy) Roe of Union Springs, Mark (Jennifer) Roe of San Francisco, and John (Betsy) Roe of Weedsport; 26 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren, a brother Lewis (Cheryl) Ashby, of TN and many nieces and nephews. Ms. Morrissey was predeceased by a grandson Matthew, a great grandson C.C., a son-in-law, Michael Fragola, and the father of her children Joseph E. Roe. Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 6pm in White Chapel Funeral Home, 2719 Erie Drive, Weedsport. Burial will be Wednesday at 10am in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Port Byron. Friends are invited to call on the family Tuesday from 4-6pm at White Chapel prior to services.
