Barbara Jean Cook, age 69, of Red Lake, MN, began her spiritual journey on June 16, 2018, at her home. Barbara was born on August 4, 1948, in Red Lake, MN, the daughter of Teddy and Ida Cook. She attended St. Mary’s Mission School and graduated from Red Lake High School in 1966. She was a stay at home loving mom and grandma. She enjoyed going to the casino, being with her grandkids, nieces, nephews, and all her family. She liked to tease all her nieces and nephews a lot. Barbara is survived by her daughter, Shannon Cook; sons, Sheldon, Dave, and Doug Cook; 13 grandchildren, 7 she raised, Leo (Jessie), Dave, Jr., Justin, Maurice, Billy, Leah, and Jerell Cook; 8 great-grandchildren; sisters, Elaine “Honey” Blanchard, Mary Ellen (Cook) Stillday, Shirley McNeal, and Sammi Jo Braddock; and brothers, Fabian and Hank Cook; as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Family members waiting to greet here are her parents, Teddy and Ida; sisters, Vi Donnell, Amelia Carson, Roberta Crowe, and Ina Mae McNeal; brothers, Billy, Robert, and Donald Cook, Sr.; nieces, Michelle “Mushy” Spears, Carla Brun, Diane Cook, and Marilee Brun; nephews, Joey Pelchat, Don Cook, Jr., Darren Lee Cook, Mikey McNeal, and Raymond Teller; and her brother-in-law and friend, Paul “Hutt” Stillday.
