Mrs. Barbara “Diane” Evans Wilmoth, age 72, of Cana, VA, passed away on June 16, 2018. She was surrounded by her family at her passing. She was born on May 4, 1946, to the late Colon Jackson Evans and Georgia McNabb Evans. Diane was retired from Virginia Candle Company, Lynchburg, VA. She loved greatly, was loved greatly and will be greatly missed. Mrs. Wilmoth is survived by a daughter, Ashley and husband, Steve Plante; son, John Wilmoth and girlfriend, Hope Solomon; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Kaitlin Wilmoth, Carson Cheek , and Cortland Wilmoth; great-granddaughter, Hartlyn Snow; a sister, Judith Horton; a brother, Kenneth and wife, Della Evans; and many beloved aunts, uncles, cousins, nephews, nieces, step-grandchildren, great-grandchild, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Colon Jackson Evans and Georgia McNabb Evans and a son, Michael Andrew “Andy” Wilmoth. There will be a memorial service at the Central Park, 302 Kirby Road, King, NC on Sunday, June 24, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. Cox-Needham Funeral Home of Pilot Mountain (www.coxneedham.com, www.facebook.com/coxneedham) is respectfully serving the Wilmoth family.
