Mrs. Arlene Lorene Boyd, age 66, of Dallas, Georgia passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018 at her residence. Mrs. Boyd was born December 10, 1951 in Fulton County, Georgia to Mr. Arlan Sweat and Mrs. Virginia (Elsberry) Butler. Prior to her passing, she worked as a seamstress at Malbon and an office administrator for Marshall’s. Arlene… Read More » is survived by her husband of 35 years, Mr. Joseph Freddy Boyd; her son, Mr. and Mrs. Shane (Cheryl) Woodall; her daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Darren (Brandy) Hudgins; grandchildren, Mr. and Mrs. Kevin (Samantha) Ballance, Kaylee Hudgins, Nicholas Hudgins, Sabrina Woodall and Mary Kate Hudgins; her great grandchildren, Iris Whitfield; her brother, Mr. and Mrs. Ricky (MaryAnn) Sweat; several nieces and nephews also survive. A funeral service for Mrs. Boyd will be held on Sunday, July 1, 2018 3:00PM at Benson Funeral Home with Rev. Jeff Childers and Rev. Rick Eaves officiating. Interment will follow at Paulding Memorial Gardens. The family will be receiving friends on Saturday, June 30, 2018 from 4:00PM – 9:00PM and Sunday, July 1, 2018 from 12:00PM – 3:00PM at Benson Funeral Home.
