Amanda Lynn Reece, age 41 of Lansing died Monday, June 04, 2018 at Ashe Memorial Hospital. Ms. Reece was born January 25, 1977 in Johnson City, TN to James Richard Reece and Louise Hamm. Amanda had a very sweet spirit and will be missed greatly. She enjoyed spending time with her dog, Steve. Funeral services will be held Thursday, June 7, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Badger Funeral Home Chapel by Brother Anthony Roark and Rev. Allen Miller. Burial will follow in Peace Haven Community Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 pm prior to the service. Ms. Reece is survived by her daughter, Jessica Penley of the home, mother and step-father, Louise and Lacey Hamm of Lansing, father and step-mother, James and Brenda Reece of TN, sister, Taria Friesland of Glade Valley, brother, Joe Hamm of Warrensville, half-sister, Heather Coleman of WV, half-brother, Adam Reece of TN, grandmothers, Loula Bell Hamm of Independence, VA & Darline Hamm of Lansing. Also surviving are several nieces, nephews aunts, uncles and cousins. Memorials may be made to the family c/o Badger Funeral Home, 300 E Main St., West Jefferson, NC 28694.
