Alma ‘Tiney’ Pearl Ballard March 3 1929 June 11 2018 (age 89)

Alma “Tiney” Pearl Byrd Ballard, 89, of Norwood, passed away Monday morning, June 11, 2018, at her home. Funeral services will be held at 4:00 PM, Wednesday, June 13, 2018, at Edwards Funeral Home Chapel. Keith Byrd will officiate and burial will follow in the Norwood Cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Edwards Funeral Home in Norwood. Mrs. Ballard was born March 3, 1929, to the late Henry Franklin and Leola Thompson Byrd. She worked as a seamstress and a telephone operator. She will be remembered for her love of family, cooking and sewing. In addition to her parents, she is predeceased by her husband George Edwin Ballard, Sr., four brothers and three sisters. She is survived by her son, Eddie Ballard and wife Terry of Norwood and daughter Treva Price of Morganton. In addition, she is survived by her grandchildren, Brandon Ballard (Tara), Eddie Price, Amelia Price, Chad Harrell (Jordan), Tommy (Janice) Harrell and six great grandchildren.
