ALBERT P. BRUCKERT With family members at his side, Mr. Albert Bruckert of Germantown passed into the loving care of Our Lord on Tuesday, June 12, 2018, at Silverado Oak Village in Menomonee Falls, where he has resided since March of 2017. He was 95 years old. Albert was born in Milwaukee on January 27, 1923, son of John and Pauline (Steger) Bruckert. In 1933, the family moved to a farm in Germantown. Albert graduated from West Division High School before attending UW Milwaukee… Read More » and Marquette University. He proudly served in the United States Army from 1945 until 1947. On June 9, 1956, Albert was united in marriage with Lavina Hannan at St. John Catholic Church in Rubicon. The couple built their home on the family farm and raised three children. Albert was a faith-filled, humble family man, machinist, farmer, and businessman. He is survived by his wife, Lavina, their three children: Debra (William) Spredemann of Belgium, WI, Robert Bruckert of Milwaukee, and Kathleen (David) Groleau of San Ramon, CA, and three grandchildren: Nicholas, Ryan and Kaitlin. He is further survived by sister-in-law Elsie (William) Lentz of Hartford, nieces, nephews, other family and friends. He is preceded in death by an infant granddaughter Katharine and brother Howard (Goldie) Bruckert. Visitation will be held 10-11AM at St. Anthony Catholic Church, N74W13646 Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, on Saturday, June 23. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11AM. Father Rick Wendell will preside. Albert will be laid to rest with Military Honors at Resurrection Cemetery, Mequon. If desired, memorials are suggested to Silverado Oak Village in his name.
