Obituary for Agnes Taylor Agnes McGaha Taylor, of Buncombe County, made her last journey on June 6, 2018 to be with Jesus. Agnes was born on May 31, 1934 in McDowell County to the late Harland Arthur McGaha and Hassie Holyfield. Agnes was a faithful member of Oakley Freewill Baptist Church. Agnes is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Thomas Burgin Taylor; four sisters, Ruby Kuykendall (Johnnie), Dorothy Moore (Lee), Margie Pressley (Douglass), and Beatrice Bradley (Leonard); and three brothers, Frank, John, and Jonas McGaha all of Asheville. She is survived by her sister, Loula Wykle (Glenn); one special sister-in-law, Beatrice Taylor; special niece, Ann Sullins and many other nieces and nephews. Agnes’ last statement was, “Tell everyone goodbye for me and I hope to meet them all in Heaven.” The family will receive friends Saturday, June 9, 2018 from 11:00 to 12:00 at Harwood Home for Funerals with a Celebration of Life Service immediately following with Rev.
