Howard Spohn, 76, of Princeton, passed away suddenly on Thursday, April 26, 2018 at Perry Memorial Hospital in Princeton. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Tuesday, May 1, 2018 at First Baptist Church in Oglesby with Rev. Michael Freeman, pastor officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Webster Park. Visitation will be 9:30-11:00 AM Tuesday in the church. Arrangements are entrusted to Prey-Mueller Funeral Home in Oglesby. Mr. Spohn was born… Read More » July 5, 1941 in Princeton to Everett and Velma (Farmer) Spohn. He married Sharon (Vester) Morton on September 12, 1987 in Las Vegas, NV. He attended First Baptist Church in Oglesby and was a member of the Antique Club in Ohio, IL. He was a hard worker up until the day he died and was employed through the years as a farmer, truck driver and as a well driller for Albright’s. He was liked by all who knew him. He enjoyed cooking, gardening and tinkering with cars, lawn mowers and especially tractors. Survivors include his wife, Sharon; four children, Kim of Los Angeles, CA, Howard Spohn Jr. of Seatonville, Connie (Robert) Blazier of Princeton and Johnny Spohn; four step-children, Rose Storm, Julie (Ted) Rhodes, Sean (Jodi) Baron and Steve (Tabetha) Morton all of Princeton; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Ruth (Gary) Boley of Seatonville, Linda (Frank) Wolski of Chicago, Nancy (Jerry) West and Carolyn Smith both of Aurora, MO and Kathy (Jack) Jones of Byers, TX; two brothers, Richard Spohn of Rock Falls and David Spohn of Panama Beach, FL and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Darlene Scott and one brother, Charlie Spohn.
