Wayne Michael McCaughey died April 28, 2024 at his residence. He was born July 28, 1939 in Torrington, CT. He was the son of Anne McCaughey and the stepson and son of Edward McCaughey, and John Gollsneider, all deceased. He spent his very early years in Torrington and in 1947 moved with his family to a farm in Storrs, CT. He attended Windham High School in Willimantic, CT, graduating in 1957 with honors.
