STEWART WILLIAM MAYOTT entered the world on Valentine’s Day in 1960, the second born of Curtis and Janet (Garvin). He was born in Akron, Ohio, but spent most of his growing-up years in Glens Falls, New York. Copious amounts of snow and nearby mountains turned him into an avid skier. Despite his love for the slopes, he attended college at Kansas State, earning his degree in math education. He also found a wife in Kansas, marrying Cheri Rolph in 1982.
