Lorene was born on July 1, 1927 in Hagerman (now Gordonville), Texas to James Adam McAlister and Effie Mae Pickens McAlister. She married the love of her life John Pearson Jr. on July 13, 1946 in Sherman, Texas. Lorene was a talented seamstress her entire life, making clothes for family and friends.
