Hilda was born to Anna and Edward Lincoln on January 14, 1947, in Opelousas, Louisiana. She attended public schools in Orange. She loved playing tennis and basketball in high school. After graduating from Wiley College in Marshall, Texas, she returned to Orange to work. An educator, she retired from the West Orange-Cove Consolidated Independent School District. While in the district, Coach Dan Hooks appointed her Head Coach of the girls Basketball and Track and Field Teams, both of which excelle…
