Marjorie Cummins Hurd passed away on Friday, November 10, 2023 at 101 years old. She was born August 16, 1922 in Oakley, Idaho to Phillip and Verla Cummins. She was raised and schooled in Oakley, Idaho until 1938.
Marjorie married Gerald Hurd in Soda Springs, ID in 1938. Gerald passed away on February 28, 1995.
She lived in Idaho, Utah, California, and was living in St. George, Utah at the time of her passing.
Marjorie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Marjorie is survived by her children and spouses, Milton Gerald and Karen Hurd, LeeAnn and Richard Kirkwood, Marvin Duane Hurd, and Karen Hill; 17 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband; parents, four brothers, and four sisters.
She loved to crochet all kinds of doilies and quilted for all of her children. She also loved to make stove bags and hand towels. She enjoyed plants and flowers, planting starts off of our dad’s plant for family, and many others projects she enjoyed.
Our family would like to express a great thank you to Dixie Hospital and staff and Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary for their services.
She will be missed by all.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, November 17, 2023 at 2 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd. Friends may visit with family on Friday from 12:30 to 1:45 p.m. at the mortuary. Interment, Lindquist’s Memorial Gardens of the Wasatch, 1718 Combe Rd.
