Alfred P. Aiello
91, of Lower Burrell, died Saturday November 18, 2023 in Walden’s View Personal Care Home, North Huntingdon. He was born in Freeport on July 2, 1932 and has been a resident of Lower Burrell for the past 60 years.
Mr. Aiello was an Army Veteran serving during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, Lower Burrell and worked as a steelworker for Edgewater Steel until retiring in 1998. He also worked as a carpenter alongside his brother. He was an avid sports fan, especially Notre Dame football and of his grandchildren’s sporting events. He also played baseball when he was younger.
He is survived by his sons: Alfred J. (Paula) Aiello of Greensburg, Gregory P. (Carole) Aiello of Bethel Park, Kevin E. Aiello of Lower Burrell, grandchildren: Ryan, Nicky, Tony, Chooch and Ashley Aiello, and sister Connie Jansen of Freeport.
Besides his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Raffelina “Ralphie” Plastino Aiello, and siblings Bill and Rose Aiello and Art and Tony Triveri.
Friends will be received Tuesday from 4-7 PM at THE RUSIEWICZ OF LOWER BURELL FUNERAL HOME, 3124 Leechburg Rd. at Alder St. where Prayers of Transfer will be said Wednesday at 9:30 AM followed by Christian Funeral Mass at 10 AM in St. Margaret Mary Church. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell. The family suggests donations made in his name to St. Margaret Mary Roman Catholic Church, 3055 Leechburg Rd., Lower Burrell, 15068. www.RusiewiczFH.com
