Margaret Marie McNitt June 10 1928 — November 10 2023

June 10 1928 — November 10 2023
The beloved wife of Thomas McNitt of Shaker Hts., OH. The dear mother of Richard A. McNitt (Simone) of University Hts., OH and the late Brian McNitt. She was the dear grandmother of Bryantomas and Mckenzie McNitt and the dear sister of the late Pauline Washtak of Springfield, NE, and Frances Iwanski of Lorain.
Marge was a teacher and had a career in nursing with her master’s in medical surgical nursing from Marquette University in Milwaukee, WI, where she met her late husband, Tom. She has always been a caregiver.
When she wasn’t working, Marge and Tom enjoyed playing cards and attending classical music concerts. They often traveled to see the Cleveland Orchestra. The couple took long walks to stay in shape and Marge enjoyed crocheting. She used to crochet with her sister’s neighborhood group. Never one to sit in front of the TV, she read nonfiction books and always tried to learn. Marge grew up watching the Cleveland Browns with her father and sisters but now likes baseball more. She enjoyed cooking and baking, especially her mother’s Czechoslovakian recipes. Ask about her mother’s cinnamon rolls.
A Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, November 25th at 10 AM in The Church of St. Dominic, 19000 Van Aken Blvd, Shaker Heights, OH 44122, where friends may call one hour prior to the service.
Those who wish may make contributions in her name to The Alzheimer’s Association, 23215 Commerce Park, Suite 300; Beachwood, OH 44122, or online at

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Margaret Marie McNitt June 10 1928 — November 10 2023.
