Archie Dennis Starks, son of the late Norman Starks and Catherine (Foster) Starks was born on July 7, 1947 in Canton, Minnesota and departed this life on October 1, 2023 in Piedmont, Missouri. He had attained the age of seventy-six years, two months and twenty-five days.
Archie had resided in Van Buren, Missouri for the past 15 years and was formerly of Dakota, Minnesota. He proudly served his country in the United States Army. He enjoyed being outdoors, fishing, camping, hunting and spending time with his family. Archie was loving, very kind, good-hearted and had a good sense of humor.
On July 7, 1970 he was united in marriage to Carol Ann Good in La Cross, Wisconsin.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Starks of Van Buren, MO; daughter, Julia King and husband Kenneth of Van Buren, MO; sons, William Starks and wife Corie of Altura, MN, James Starks and wife Lisa of Minnesota City, MN and Matthew Starks and wife Tracy of Winona, MN; brothers, Norman Starks and Daniel Starks; sisters, Iris Wojcik and Pauline Krause; six grandchildren, Hendrix Thompson, Melanie Starks, Shawna Pomeroy, Matthew Starks, Jr., Theresa Starks and Brettney Starks; five great-grandchildren and many relatives and friends who mourn his passing.
In addition to his parents, Archie was preceded in death by one brother, Benjamin Starks and two sisters, Ellen Waggoner and Wanda Elderman.
