Irene Williams, 80, of West Bend, KY passed away November 15, 2023 while tending her garden. She was born in West Bend on the western edge of Powell County on November 15, 1943, the first daughter of Mary & Mose Williams. She attended Powell County High School. She retired as a medical records clerk for the Veterans Administration. She was preceded in death by her mother Mary Fletcher Williams, father Mose Williams, and brothers James Darnell Williams & Robert Edward Williams. Survivors include: brothers Gene (Natalia) Williams of Louisville, KY, Kenneth (Ethel) Williams of Winchester, KY, Emmitt (Renee) Williams of Michigan, & Julius (Yvonne) Williams of Port Huron, MI; sisters Doris (Harold) Burrell of Lansing, MI, & Barbara Slaton of Lexington, KY; sons Michael (Julie) Morgan of Memphis, TN & Raynold (Sherry) Morgan of Waco, KY; daughter Leslie Morgan of Houston, TX; grandchildren Mai-Aleesha Morgan, Quinton Morgan, Briasia Leontyvaughn Young, Brock Morgan, Jada (Isaiah) Carter, & Alana Morgan. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00PM Wednesday, November 22nd at Wells Funeral Home in Stanton with Rev. Bo Brown officiating. Visitation will also be held Wednesday beginning at 11:00AM for family & 12:00PM for friends. Burial will follow the funeral in the Cooper-Fletcher Cemetery in West Bend. Return to Website
