Deborah Kay “Debby” Meyer, 72, passed away Friday, December 1, 2023 at Leisure Homestead at Stafford. She was born on August 30, 1951 in Meade to C.L. “Hap” and Anni (Hueller) Eckhoff. Deborah married Craig Allen Meyer on March 4, 1978 in Pratt. They were married for 45 years.
Debby received her Associate Degree from Pratt Community College and her Bachelors Degree from K-State in 1973. She previously worked for Fort Riley Elementary, Ticket Sales and Concessions at Barron Theater Pratt, taught 6th Grade at Cunningham, was a Bookkeeper at Jarrett’s Conoco and most recently as IT Help Desk Administrator/Purchasing at Kansas Department of Wildlife and Parks. She enjoyed knitting, sewing, gardening and doing yard work.
She is survived by her husband, Craig; daughters, Danica Gaupp of Lenexa and Tonia Meyer of Newton; brother, Mark (Cheryl) Eckhoff of Pratt; sister, Rosalie Cates of Pratt; grandchildren, Brooklyn, Kendyl and Camden; and many nieces and nephews.
Debby is preceded in death by her parents.
Visitation will be Tuesday, December 5, 2023 from 9:00 a.m. – 8:00 p.m. with family receiving friends from 5-7 at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd, Pratt. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, December 6, 2023 at Greenlawn Cemetery, Pratt with Pastor Tom Walters presiding.
Memorials may be made to Alzheimer Association in care of Larrison Mortuary.
