William Edgar Campbell, 58, husband of Barbara Pitts Campbell, passed away Saturday, December 3, 2022. A son of Paul Ellis Campbell, Sr. and the late Lindy Lou Boyce Campbell, he was born in Clinton, SC on December 20, 1963. William was a member of Beaverdam Baptist Church. He was a graduate of Clinton High School (Class of 1982) and earned an associate degree from Piedmont Technical College. In addition to his wife of 33 years (married February 18, 1989), William is survived by his children, Meredyth Campbell Beagen, Heather Elizabeth Campbell (TJ Roach), Brantley Jennings Nelson (Chris), and Barrett Alston Jennings (Jamie); fifteen grandchildren; his sister, Melody Campbell Kennedy; and a brother Rex Wesley Campbell. He was preceded in death by a brother, Paul Ellis Campbell, Jr. A Private Graveside Memorial will be held for family. The family will be at the home, 406 East Florida Street, Clinton, SC 29325. Memorials may be made to Beaverdam Baptist Church, 1555 Beaverdam Church Road, Mountville, SC 29370, or to Ronald McDonald House of Columbia, 2901 Colonial Drive, Columbia, SC 29203. Gray Funeral Home of Clinton is assisting the Campbell family with arrangements.
