View Tribute Book Wilburn Michael “Mike” Carlton, 69, of Evansville, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loved ones. Mike was born in Evansville, Indiana on August 30, 1953. He worked in maintenance at various apartment complexes for over 30 years. Mike honorably served in the United States Marines Corps. He was a past member of the West Side Sportsmans Club. In his free time, Mike enjoyed riding Harley’s with his nephew, Roy, fishing, and hunting rabbits and squirrels. He was a loving fiancé, father, friend, and an all-around good man. Mike is survived by his fiancé, Cindy Bunch of Evansville, IN; daughter, Tonya Devendorf (Carla) of Birmingham, AL; son, Frankie Ramey of MN; sisters, Janet Shadrick and Sherry Sheetz, both of Evansville, IN; and several nieces and nephews. Mike was preceded in death by his mother, Beulah “Susie” Williams, and father, Wilburn Carlton. A celebration of Mike’s life will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home, 738 Diamond Ave., Evansville, IN 47711 with Pastor Steve Clayton officiating. Burial will follow at Sunset Memorial Park Cemetery where the Retired Veterans Memorial Club will conduct military rites. Friends may visit from 12:00 noon until 6:00 pm on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Browning Funeral Home and a again from 9:00 am until service time on Wednesday at the funeral home.
