Wesley’s Obituary Wesley Brown Jr., age 66, of Coal City, WV went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at Bowers Hospice House in Beckley. Born on September 3, 1956 in Fayetteville, NC, he was the son of the late Wesley Brown Sr. and Katherine Trent Brown. Wes, as he was known by family and friends was a disabled US Air Force Combat Veteran, having served multiple tours of duty during the Gulf Wars. He was a member of Bible Baptist Church at MacArthur, WV for 21 years. Wes enjoyed golfing when his health allowed, and had won several golfing championships. He enjoyed all activities at his church. In addition to his parents, Wes was preceded in death by a sister, Pamela Allard; paternal grandparents, Azel and Winnie Brown; maternal grandparents, Estill and Wanda Cooper; uncle Michael Joe Cooper; uncle and aunt Vern and RosePearl Stewart; and four unborn children. Those survivors left to cherish his memory include his loving and faithful wife Mary Hart Brown; a son Micah J Barrett Brown at home; a daughter Claire Elizabeth Brown of North Carolina; a brother Jere Brown and wife Paula of Fairdale; nieces and nephews, Kelsey Brown, Hannah Brown, Carson Brown, Nikki Reynolds and husband Kenny; Brianna Flippo and husband Steven; Nathan Hart, Caleb Hart and wife Alena, and Geoffrey Kincaid and wife Cheryl; father-in-law Fred Hart Sr; brother-in-law Fred Hart Jr. and wife Shelley; aunt Cindy Shadd; several great nephews, great nieces, and cousins also survive. A memorial service will be held at the Bible Baptist Church at MacArthur, WV on Tuesday, November 29, 2022 at 1 PM with Pastor Sam Green and Pastor Fred Hart Jr. officiating. Friends may visit with the family one hour prior to the services on Tuesday at the church.
