Gardinier, age 96, entered into eternal rest on Wednesday, November 30 at Wesley Health Care Center in Saratoga Springs. Virginia was born in Amsterdam, New York on February 7, 1926 the daughter of Sadie and Albert Soodol. Her five siblings, John, Genevieve, Raymond, Gilbert and Agnes predeceased her. Before retiring from Beech Nut, she was elected as Shop Steward which was due to her personality and work ethic. As a single parent, she raised her only child, Kurt D. and was a loving mother, grandmother and great grandmother. Her generosity greatly assisted in educating her three grandchildren, Kurt A., Ann Marie and Kimberly. Virginia is survived by her son Kurt D. and his wife Mary Ann and their three children Ann Marie (Gregg) Halstead, Kimberly Wadsworth and Kurt A. Gardinier and five beautiful great grandchildren. Virginia was a dedicated member of the Good Shepherd Polish National Catholic Church. She was a loyal friend and was loved by the staff at the Sentinel in Amsterdam and Wesley in Saratoga Springs. She will be missed by her family, friends and acquaintances. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the funeral service at 10:00 a.m. Monday, December 5 at the Jendrzejczak Funeral Home 200 Church Street, Amsterdam, New York.
