Vicky Lynn McCracken, 64, of Damascus, VA passed away on Monday, November 21, 2022 at her residence. She was born in Marion, VA on May 16, 1958. She was preceded in death by her mother, Mary Catherine Fleenor; her late husband, Harold Dean McCracken; and her uncle, Richard Fleenor. She was a lifelong resident of Damascus, VA. She had worked at American Furniture in Chilhowie, VA for 24 years and later worked in food service most of her life. She loved to write books and was a member of the Damascus Writers Group. She also enjoyed quilting and crocheting. Vicky is survived by her son, Chris McCracken and his wife, Jennifer, of Bluff City, TN; two grandchildren, Kailyn McCracken and Ethan McCracken; and a special niece, Cindy Wood. The family would like to express a special thank you to First Baptist Church in Damascus for all the love and care shown to Vicky during her illness. A memorial service will be held at a later date and will be announced once those arrangements have been completed.
