Tom’s Obituary Thomas David Joyce, 77, of Farmington passed away December 24, 2022 surrounded by his loving family. He was born March 3, 1945 in Chicago, IL to the late William and Dorothy (Booher) Joyce. Tom proudly served his country in the United States Air Force during Vietnam. Tom was a history teacher at Morton High School in Morton, IL. After his retirement he later taught as an adjunct professor at Mineral Area College in Park Hills, MO. He was an active and devoted member of New Heights Church of Farmington, MO. His willingness to help others in need will be fondly remembered. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his first wife of 35 years, Vivian (Ransford) Joyce; one sister, Joan Moore; two brothers, Deno and James Joyce. Tom is survived by his wife, Nicole (Owsley) Joyce; son, James Ransford Joyce and wife Holly Maynard Joyce; step-son, John Paul Kelley and wife Joy; three grandchildren, Zachary, Madeline and Georgia; one brother, Bill Joyce and wife Lin. Visitation will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022 from 10:00 AM until the time of service at Noon at the C.Z. Boyer & Son Funeral Home – Taylor Chapel in Farmington with Rev. Rocky Good officiating. Interment will follow at St. Francois Memorial Park in Bonne Terre. Memorials may be made to St. Francois County Board for the Developmentally Disabled.
