Obituary On Tuesday, November 1, 2022, Stephen Ned McGill, beloved father, brother, grandfather and uncle, passed away. He was 78 years old. Born to Ned and Dorothy McGill, Stephen was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County. Stephen spent his early years working in radio and became a skillful sportscaster. Among his professional credits included stadium announcer for the Senior Bowl. Stephen was also a talented pianist, vocal artist and a dedicated Alabama fan. Stephen is survived by 3 daughters, Shelly (Vince) Leger of Pensacola, FL, Amanda McGill of Mobile, AL and Stephanie (Michael) Rodgers of Stapleton, AL; sister, Carol McGill (Richard) Pearce of Birmingham AL; four grandchildren, Haley Dunnam, Dylan McGill, Sean (Holly) Purvis, and Katherine Purvis; two great-grandchildren, Reeves and Vivian Dunnam; nieces Ashley (Frank) Monachelli and Leanne (Mark) Reed and compassionate caregivers Pat and Shirey Bankester. Stephen’s life, love and humor will be missed by his family and his beloved 17 year old dog, Bear Bryant Buchanan. A visitation will be held on Friday, November 4, 2022 from 10:00 am to 12:00 p.m. at Norris Funeral Home, followed by a graveside service at 12:30 p.m. at Bay Minette Cemetery.
