View Tribute Book Stanley Clifton Reynolds, Sr. went to his eternal home to be with his Heavenly Father, Friday, December 16, 2022. Born January 21, 1945, in Pittsylvania County, to the late William Allen Reynolds and the late Louise Aron Reynolds. He was married June 14, 1963, to Patsy Anderson Reynolds, who survives. Stan earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University (Virginia Tech) in March 1968. He was employed with Southern States for five years and then later with Farm Credit, retiring after 24 years of service. He was also a tobacco and cattle farmer. He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church, Served as deacon, assistant treasurer, treasure, budget committee, and Board of Trustees. Stan is survived by his wife, Patsy; daughter, Stephanie C. VanDerHyde and her husband, Steve VanDerHyde of Raleigh, NC; a son, Stanley C. Reynolds, Jr. and his wife Wendy Brown Reynolds of Callands, VA; four grandchildren, Stacey Carol VanDerHyde, Spencer Aron VanDerHyde, Sterling Craig Reynolds, and Grant Anderson Reynolds; a brother, Allen Wayne Reynolds and wife, Sylvia Reynolds of King William, VA; numerous nieces and nephews; and a special uncle, Lynwood Reynolds. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by an infant son, Sterling Christopher Reynolds. Stan will be remembered as a good son, a loving husband, a caring father, and a loyal friend to all who knew him. A funeral will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, December 19, 2022, at Norris Funeral Services, Mt. Hermon Chapel, 3995 Franklin Turnpike, Danville, VA with Pastor Daryl Joyce officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the funeral from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. and at other times at the residence. In lieu of flowers the family request contributions be made to Callands Volunteer Fire and Rescue, 11741 Callands Rd., Callands, VA 24530. Norris Funeral Services, Inc. & Crematory, Mt.
