Roy Dean Stucker, 29, of Bluffs passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022, at McDonough District Hospital in Macomb, following a lengthy battle with a respiratory illness. Roy was born, Dec. 4, 1992, in Jacksonville, to Eddy and Brenda Stucker. He graduated from Beardstown High School in 2011. He then, moved into group homes, where he was able to work and met several people, he could count on that became great friends. He was an avid gamer and had gaming friends everywhere who considered him family. Roy never met stranger and could carry on conversation with anyone for hours. Roy is survived by his parents, Eddy and Brenda Stucker; sister, Jessica (Josh) Holmes and Barbie (Chris) Clark all of Bluffs, Nicole (William) Parris and brother, Cory (Stephanie Ziegler) Stucker both of Bethalto; maternal grandmother, Louise Collison of Bluffs and a paternal grandfather, Edward Stucker of Roodhouse. Roy’s greatest pride was his nieces and nephews, that he loved very much. Lexie (Alex Touant) Holmes of Jacksonville, Kaden Holmes, Kody Holmes and Kohen Homes all of Bluffs, Ethan (Bailey McClellan) Haynes of Jacksonville, Avery Clark and Jayda Clark both of Bluffs and Ephraim Parris of Bethalto. He also had a great nephew, Lincoln Dean Touant of Jacksonville with a great niece expected in March 2023 and another great niece or nephew expected in May 2023. He was so excited to meet the new additions to the family. Roy was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Donald “Mouse” Collison and paternal grandmother, Carol Stucker. A visitation will be held 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 26, 2022, at the Daws Family Funeral Home in Bluffs. Family asks that all attending the visitation, to wear colorful casual clothes, as Roy hated to dress up and loved bright colors. Let’s honor his beautiful personality one last time. Memorials are suggested to Meredosia/Bluffs Rescue squad or Mosaic Home in Bushnell c/o Chad Mosebley.
