Roger Dewaine Elfrink, 82, of North Mankato, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Mankato. Private family services will be held at a later date. Roger was born September 17, 1940 in Belgrade, Minnesota to Loyd and Pearl (Johnson) Elfrink. He graduated from Belgrade High School in 1959 and later earned a bachelor’s degree from Mankato State College. Roger married Cheryl (Boutin) Roulet on July 16, 1966 in Willmar, Minnesota. Roger was a jack-of-all-trades. He was a skilled carpenter, talented electrician, and skilled mechanic. He also enjoyed gardening and spending time with family, especially his grandkids. Roger is survived by his wife, Cheryl, of North Mankato; children, Joel (Susan) Roulet of Mankato, Lisa Elfrink of Minneapolis, and Chad Elfrink of Mesa, AZ; grandchildren, Rose (Mike Peterson) Roulet of Iowa and Ashley (Cody) Jakes of New Ulm; great-grandchildren, Noah Butcher, Mya Wood, Aleczander Meyer, Tyson Jakes, and Kandon Jakes; siblings, Ronald Elfrink of Duluth, Sharon (Garry) Jones of North Carolina, Sandra (Charles) Fishbein of Rhode Island, and Judy (Gene) Wendt of St. Paul; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, LeeAnn Pozinski; and granddaughter, Beth Roulet.
