Obituary of Robert Golde Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends. View Tribute Book Brookfield – Mr. Robert O. Golde, age 86, of Brookfield passed away peacefully on Sunday November 27, 2022 at Danbury Hospital. He was the loving husband of 62 years to Barbara M. (Hartmann) Golde. Mr. Golde was born July 22, 1936 in Bronx, New York, son of the late Albert and Johanna (Theobald) Golde. As Engineer for Grumman Aerospace, Mr. Golde focused on the development and execution of the Lunar Excursion Module. Working in tandem with NASA to ensure the safe deployment and return of American Astronauts to the Moon was the highlight of his long career. He very much enjoyed his multiple collections, watching old movies, sitting outside in the sun (summer being his most favorite season) and was a voracious reader of American History books. Mr. Golde proudly served his country as a member of the United States Coast Guard during the Korean War and relished his time spent upon The Eagle, the Clipper training Ship of the Coast Guard at that time. In addition to his wife Barbara, Mr. Golde is survived by his children: Chris Golde, Bill Golde & Jenn (Golde) Barczak with her husband Roger Francoline; his former Son-In-Law, Frank Barczak and his pride & joy…Granddaughter Alyson (LuLu) Barczak. Private funeral services and burial will be held at the convenience of the family.

Our most sincere sympathies to the family and friends of Robert Golde 1936 2022.
