Robert leaves behind a life full of memories, laughter, and love. In his early years, he was a VDOT crew member and a drummer in a local band. Later, he spent his days as a professional truck driver, working many years alongside his wife of 24 years. He raised three children that he adored and was a devoted son to his mother. In his last years, he dedicated his days to spoiling his grandchildren. Never faltering, he worked his fingers to the bone to provide for his family, who always remained at the center of his world. Robert was all around a gentle giant. He was full of humor and no matter what the situation was, you could always count on him to lighten the mood with his never-ending jokes and humorous outlook on life. He was a man of his word who was unfailingly honest and true to his self. He never hesitated to speak his mind. Robert will forever be missed by those he leaves behind. He is survived by his mother, Claudia Fizer-Woodall of Amissville, VA; children, Michael Perry of Rappahannock, VA, Crystal Henshaw & spouse James Tweedie Jr. of Culpeper, VA, and Christopher Henshaw & spouse Lisha Henshaw of Christiansburg, VA; granddaughters, Harlie & Willow Riley; aunt, Mabel Fizer-McGlothlin & husband Norman McGlothlin of Fayetteville, PA; and uncle, John Morley of Fredericksburg, VA. He also leaves behind many cousins and friends. He was awaited at heaven’s gates by his wife, Barbara Perry-Woodall; father, Robert Joe Woodall Sr.; grandparents, Muriel Walker-Fizer & Harry D. Fizer; aunts, Jean Fizer-Fauver & Ruby Fizer-Morley; and granddaughter, Lilly Sara Riley. Robert’s casket will be carried to his final resting place by Michael Perry, Christopher Henshaw, James Tweedie Jr., Jason Smith, John Brown, and Todd Smith.
