Robb, 84 of McKeesport, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2022. He was born September 20, 1938 in McKeesport and was the son of the late George Robb, Jr. and Josephine (Kosco) Robb. He was the husband of the late Louise (Gracon) Robb who passed away August 16, 2006 after 46 years of a loving marriage. He is survived by his children: Robert C. (Karen) Robb of White Oak, and Laurie (Christopher) Gricar of North Versailles. Proud Pap of grandchildren: Elizabeth (Jesse) Lape of Liberty Boro, Tyler Gricar (Dara Damianos) of North Versailles, Victoria (Patrick) Kavinski of Buena Vista. Great Grand Pap to Thomas Robb Lape and Henry Lee Lape. He was preceded in death by his brother, George Robb, sister, Adrienne Stewart, and nephew, Jeff Robb. Bob was a retired truck driver for Overnight Transportation, after 33 years of long-distance driving. Through the younger years, Bob was an avid player in baseball and softball. From high school, being offered a tryout with the Pittsburgh Pirates, he instead was drafted into the Army. He continued his passion playing for the Daily News League and then many other softball leagues. He enjoyed teaching and mentoring the youth in softball. Coaching St. Mary Czestochowa, McKeesport to many winning championships in the Mon Valley Church League in the 1980’s. Ending his coaching days with the McKeesport High School Girls Softball Team. Bob found his most proud sports enjoyment was watching his son through the years play ball. He was a proud 55+ Hard Noxx Softball follower. He enjoyed many family vacations to the beach while taking his grandchildren out to jump in the waves. He always could be found in the backyard gardening or in his pool standing in the sunshine or on the raft. Later in life he found much joy with his loving companion, Deborah Pernatozzi and her family, Emily (Jonathan) Murin, Matthew (Samantha) Hartig. Grandchildren, Gianna, Mason, Talan, and Gabriella. And of course, Mia, Robert’s beloved canine companion. In Bob’s memory, during this Christmas season, light the tree, make the house nice and bright, and listen to Johnny Mathias Christmas music while eating those delicious Christmas cookies.
