Richard W. Ramble, 85 of Dover, PA, died at ProMedica Skilled Nursing-Dallastown on November 9, 2022. He was the husband of Cathy M. (Plath) Ramble with whom he observed their 47th wedding anniversary on February 8, 2022. Born May 24, 1937 in York, PA, he was the son of the late Richard E. and Lottie M. (Stine) Ramble. He was a veteran of the U. S. Army and retired as a Union Glazer from Pittsburgh Plate Glass. In addition to his wife, Richard is survived by four daughters, Audrey Hess and her husband Brad of Kenton, OH, Tara Stanard and her husband Ross of York, PA, Jodi Zager and her husband Chip of Dallastown, PA and Lori Kreeger and her fiancé Kevin Sowers of York, PA; a son, Kevin Ramble of Dover, PA; eight grandchildren, three great grandchildren; and two brothers, Frank Ramble of Dover, PA and Jim Ramble of York, PA. In addition to his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by a brother, Lewis Ramble. Following cremation, private services will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Floor 17, Chicago, IL 60601 or to the SPCA of York County, 3159 Susquehanna Trail North, York, PA 17406.
