White, 79, of Taylorville, formerly of Sullivan, passed away at 6:15 a.m. Wednesday December 21, 2022 in Memorial Medical Hospital, Springfield. Celebration of Life services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday December 27, 2022 in the Reed Funeral Home, Sullivan with Rev. Gawain Bevis officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until service time. Burial will be in the Greenhill Cemetery, Sullivan. Memorials are suggested to Crossroads Apostolic Ministries to be sent to benefit mission work in Amman Jordan. Online condolences may be sent to the family at reedfuneralhome.net. Sharon was born March 2, 1943 in Sullivan, the daughter of Claude and Milon Bushong Reed. She was a graduate of Apostolic Bible Institute in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a licensed minister for the United Pentecostal Church. Sharon had been heavily involved in the Ladies Ministry of the United Pentecostal Church International (UPCI) in Illinois and Kentucky for many years. Sharon was a woman of God. Through out her life, Sharon ministered to innumerable people throughout the country in both preaching the gospel and her singing and playing for the glory of God. She was an example of godliness and grace. Surviving are her daughters, Stephanie Price of Decatur and Michelle (Tim) Hancock of Taylorville; brothers Kenneth (Shelba) Reed of Casper, Wyoming and Gary (Linda) Reed of Columbia, Missouri; sister Yvonne (Gawain) Bevis of Arthur and a grandson Spencer Hill of Decatur.
