Obituary Peter Oostdyk, age 87, of Plymouth, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2022. He was born on June 5, 1935 in Sheboygan, WI, a son of the late Peter and Lila (Beernik) Oostdyk. He graduated from Oostburg High School in 1953. On August 29, 1953 he was united in marriage to Lois Stephenson at First Methodist Church, Sheboygan Falls, by the Rev. E.T. Holland. Peter was a member of First Evangelical Presbyterian Church, Cedar Grove. Survivors include his wife: Lois; one son: David (Michele) Oostdyk of Plymouth; three daughters: Mrs. William (Kathleen) Novak of Plymouth; Mrs. Bart (Leslie) Bailey of Green Bay; and Nancy Lilyquist of Sheboygan Falls. She is further survived by eleven grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and one sister; Anita Daane of Sheboygan Falls. He also survived by nieces, nephews, many other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers: Dale Oostdyk and Philip Oostdyk; and one sister: Sylvia McDaniel. Following Peter’s wishes, there will be NO VISITATION. Private family graveside services have been held. Rev. Steve Petrey, Pastor of the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove has officiated. Interment was in the Hartman Cemetery in Oostburg. A memorial fund is being established for First Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Cedar Grove in Peter’s name. Suchon Funeral Home and Cremation Services of Plymouth is serving the family. Read more
